Maya Road 5x7 binder album.
I wanted you to have a journal of the retreat - something small that would not take forever to complete!!! There are 8 chipboard pages in the book and of course you could add pages (maybe from the Specialty Paper!!!) and pictures!
You could also put post cards in it to make it a real sweet little memory book of the 2013 retreat!
You will each receive an extra patch (aside from the one for your bag) to put on the front of this little cutie if you want!

Day 10.br!! 10?? REALLY?!?!
Wow! We are almost there !! I am so ready!!!
We will have the total HONOR of having a platter of 250 chocolates from the world famous Key Largo Chocolate Factory!!
The wonderful Christi will be making us a Tropical Platter which will include key lime, mango, piña colada...... SOOOOOOOO good!!!!

Ranger's 12x 12 Specialty Paper!
I LOVE this paper! I had never used it and did so with Jacquie at a Wendy Vecchi class. It is AMAZING! It is particularly beautiful with alcohol inks so figured we could maybe use it with the techniques Daisy will be teaching us, cut them up and use them for our cards.

I CAN'T FOCUS ON WORK!!!
I have boxes and boxes of loveliness in my conference room.... I have a list in my head of what I need to do .... I have groceries to buy..... I have wonderful things to organize for you ..... how the HELL am I supposed to focus on work???? LOL!!!
I have this issue with "focus"..... A week before Thanksgiving my mind goes to "holiday mode" and I get NOTHING done until I come back from Xmas break!!
Well, this is what happens with the retreat as well!!!
Will there be enough water.... coke.... don't forget Eileen's diet pepsi.... don't forget Karen's diet doctor pepper.... Did I remember to put the fryer on the list for Daisy?????? Did I call about the tables and chairs?????
Endless... but so exciting! I sort of work myself into a lather! LMAO!!!! Less than two weeks now!!

Okay, so we are 12 days away from our 2013 retreat!! It is 87 degrees here today!!! UGGHHH! Hopefully it wont be that hot when you guys are here but even if it is... we can become turtles and just sit in the pool all day!!!

DAY 14
Okay, so Teri suggested an advent calendar of sorts counting down the day to the retreat. Yesterday, day 15.br (Before retreat!!), we found out we have the entire Julie Nutting stamp collection including all the girls, her border stamps, an acrylic block and the tag pad.
My sincere love and thanks goes out to Julie. She bought them from Prima for herself and gave it to me at half the price it would have otherwise cost! We love you Julie!!! Thank you!!!

size 6x6 and 8x10!!
I had bought the 6x6 because the 8x10 were on back order. When I saw them I realized they were card size!!! So as soon as they got them back in stock I ordered the 8x10! So now we have one for card backgrounds or for smaller projects and the 8x10 for bigger projects!!

THOUGHTS???
As everyone is packing and preparing themselves for 82 degree weather.....
Yes, it very very very hot here but for a lot of you that will mean thawing out and for others it's same old same old!
All I have left to do is buy groceries!!! I am forcing myself to stay away from the internet and to STOP buying things!!! LOL!!! I have truly lost control this year but we have so much to be grateful for this year:
TERI: has a beautiful grandchild and two more on the way!
EILEEN: Is being treated for what could have been something so much more serious! And she will be okay!
LILLIAN: Bought her home and though struggling somewhat, has found her independence which is what she craved for.
JACQUIE: Looks absolutely amazing and is healthy and gorgeous.
SUE: Has gone through one of the hardest years she has probably ever lived through but has persevered and travelled and kept her head above water!
KAREN: She too bought her home this past year!!!
ME???? Hell, my son is sober for the first time in years. He has been clean since December and there is NOTHING ELSE I could ask God for!!
We will celebrate these things, celebrate being blessed with the opportunity of being part of a such a special group of women!
But most of all we will just celebrate being women!!! It's not easy to be a woman. It's much harder than men know..... But it's all good! We make the world go round!
WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF YOU? WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR THIS PAST YEAR????

BOXES AND BOXES AND BOXES!!!
I keep receiving boxes and boxes!!! So may goodies for our retreat!!!
I would highly suggest everyone bring an extra bag - a duffel bag or something! You will NOT be able to put all these things in your one suitcase!!!
Unless, of course, you are Karen and are bringing a huge suitcase full of FOOD!! LOL!!

RETREAT HOUSE!
Well, I went to see the house with the realtor and just got back. All I can say is HOLY SHIT!!!! The house is just AMAZING!!! I had only seen it in pictures and was TOTALLY unprepared for it in person!!!
The house was built by Pablo Escobar (yes, the cartel Pablo Escobar), was seized by the government and ultimately bought by the current owners.
It wants for NOTHING!!!
Just to give you an idea - the master bedroom is 1200 square feet!! I have seen many beautiful homes but this one is mind blowing!!!
I wish I could close my eyes and open them on the 9th!!! (Yes, you all get here on the 10th but I get the keys on the 9th!!!)

PATCHES!!
Ordered our iron-on patches today!!!
Last year Jacquie bought us those wonderful HUGE Keys 4 Art bags (don't worry Carla. she ordered yours so you will have one also).
We got our 2012 patches for those bags and now we have Teri's beautiful design for Keys 4 Art 2013 to add to our bags!!!

Really????? Are we ready????? Lord!!! I will be out this week for a few days at a Donna Downey class in North Carolina with Jacquie (yes, I know, but someone has to sacrifice for these things!).
